FIRE crews have been kept busy attending a number of deliberate fires in the open around Warrington.
Firefighters from Penketh have attended a number of deliberate fires in the wooded area off Lingley Green Avenue.
On arrival, the crew discovered a number of small fires which had been deliberately set alight by youths.
Firefighters used water backpacks to extinguish the fires and were detained at the scene for around 30 minutes.
This is preventing them from potentially attending an incident where someone is in danger!
They are appealing to parents to check up on the whereabouts of their children.
Anyone with any information in relation to the identity of the people who started the fires is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting IML 977712 or visit www.cheshire.police.uk/tua .
Recently a fire crew from Lymm was detained at a deliberate small fire in the open for 40 minutes due to access issues.

Yesterday white Watch attended a deliberate small fire in Warrington. Due to difficulty accessing the fire crews were on scene for 40 minutes making them unavailable for any other incidents.
