MP drops in on small businesses to support their safe re-opening

WARRINGTON North MP Charlotte Nichols visited a number of small businesses in the town to support their safe re-opening and listen to their concerns and priorities.

Her tour included visits to Bruche, Burtonwood, Winwick and Culcheth.
Ms Nichols says she has been a consistent supporter of small businesses, from serving on the Business Select Committee to producing a ‘Warrington North Christmas List’ to support local businesses in the winter.

Working with local councillors, she has picked up on a range of issues from parking, antisocial behaviour and ongoing financial support required to recover from the pandemic.
She said: “It was great to visit so many our amazing small businesses over the weekend.
“In spite of the difficulties of the past few months, they have shown an incredible resilience in their safe re-opening. Small businesses truly are the backbone of our community and as your MP, I will continue to do everything I can to support them.
Alongside pushing for transitional support as we begin our return to normality, I’ll be following up on the issues raised with me with the appropriate agencies to ensure that there are no additional barriers to our small businesses thriving after a tough year.”
