POLICE were kept busy by a large group of underage drinkers causing anti-social behaviour on Paddington Meadows, Warrington, last night.

Officers are urging parents to speak to their children about what they were up to last night.

A police spokesperson said”Some of the language used towards officers and emergency service workers has been appalling. We have details of some, they will be
dealt with accordingly.”
Problems escalated after Officers seized two bottles of alcohol spirits on Paddington Meadows from an underage group youths.
Police were thanked on behalf of New Cut Heritage and Ecology Trail volunteers and regular walkers on Paddington Meadows who said: “We are litter picking every day at the moment. We don’t object to young people coming and enjoying the meadows but we want them to use some common decency and respect everyone else. Please take the empties home in the same bags you carried food and drink on there. There’ s no excuse for broken glass either which is a danger to walkers and their dogs.”

  1. An increasing problem around Warrington and “We have details of some, they will be dealt with accordingly” seems an inadequate response. I would love to know what exactly “dealt with accordingly” entails. It’s obviously not stopping them. How about a PCC who starts putting real actions in place instead of words!
