Man appears before magistrates accused of two robberies at the same Farmfoods Discount store

A 37-year-old man from Warrington has appeared before the town’s magistrates charged with two robberies at the same Farmfoods Discount store in the town.

James Telfer, of Northway in Orford, was arrested in Brick Street in the town centre at around 4.40pm on Wednesday 21 April.



The robbery offences he was subsequently charged with relate to two incidents at a discount retailer in School Brow.
They occurred shortly after 7.30pm on Tuesday 13 April and at around 4.30pm on Wednesday 21 April.
A quantity of food was stolen from the shop on both occasions.
Telfer was also charged with a public order offence, in relation to an incident that occurred in Warrington on Wednesday 21 April.
At Warrington Magistrates’ today, Friday 23 April Telfer was remanded in custody to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday, May 21.
