AN appeal has been launched to help trace two good samaritans who went to the assistance of a man who fell off a mobility scooter and later sadly died in hospital.
They haven’t done anything wrong but police need to speak to them as part of the investigation.
At around 11.30am on Monday 19 April a 58-year-old man was riding along Huntley Street, off Liverpool Road, Sankey Bridges, when he fell off his mobility scooter.
A dark-coloured Mercedes Sprinter van was passing at the time of the incident and the two occupants got out of the vehicle and assisted the man until paramedics arrived at the scene.
The man was subsequently taken to Walton Hospital, but sadly, has since passed away.
Following his death officers are now appealing for the occupants of the van to come forward.
They have not done anything wrong, but officers just need to speak to them as part of the investigation.
Anyone with any information about the identity of the good samaritans, or anyone with any information in relation to the incident, is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting IML 968639.
Information can also be reported online at www.cheshire.police.uk/tua .
