Firefighters stop fire spreading to shop

FIREFIGHTERS were called out shortly after 11 pm last night to tackle a fire behind a shop in Bridge Lane, Appleton, Warrington.

One fire engine attended from Stockton Heath after firefighters received a report of a fire in an alleyway in Bridge Lane.



The crew used a hose reel jet to extinguish the outside small fire, which was situated near the back of a shop.
The fire did not spread to the shop.
Firefighters were in attendance for less than 10 minutes.
