Firefighters tackle skip fire at Penketh

FIREFIGHTERS were called out to tackle a skip fire at Penketh, Warrington, on Monday afternoon.

At around 4pm firefighters were called to reports of a fire in the open on Farnworth Road in Penketh.



On arrival crews found the fire involved an industrial skip which was well alight.
Firefighters used a main jet to extinguish the skip fire and were detained at the scene for around 30 minutes.
The cause of the skip fire is believed to be accidental.
