WOOLSTON Rovers Rugby League Club has donated over 100 Easter eggs to the Poulton & Fearnhead Foodbank whch were distributed out to residents in the local community over the Easter holidays.

The donations were coordinated by our club Community Development Officer Dom Ball in conjunction with The Yard Milkshakes and Desserts at Dam Lane Shops in Woolston.

Dom said, “It was great as a club to be able to get involved and give back to a small part of our community. The work being done by the Poulton & Fearnhead Foodbank is simply amazing. To see the weekly operation they run, ensuring families and children do not go without food really touched me and made me empowered to want to do more and as a club we need to do more.
“I am really excited to see what a close relationship we can help build in the future, ensuring as a club we are giving back where we can, and looking after those who are always so willing to support us.
“This may have only been a small gesture but as a club we are beginning to make a larger impact on our local community and developing some really important bonds. I would also like to thank Demi and the team at The Yard Milkshakes and Desserts for allowing people to drop off the eggs at their premises.”
