Police warning after spate of thefts from cars

POLICE are warning residents to be on their guard against thefts from vehicles following a spate of crimes in the Appleton and Stockton Heath areas of Warrington in recent days.

Officers have received reports of a number of thefts from motor vehicles around the Cobbs Estate in the last few days, money has been taken from the vehicles in the early hours of the morning
Similar incidents have also been reported in Stockton Heath and Lymm.



There has been a spate of similar crimes in Latchford in recent weeks as well.
A police spokesperson said: “Please remove all valuables from your vehicle and ensure that it is locked before you go to bed. Don’t make it easy for them!”

Yesterday alone there were six incidents:
2 in Appleton – Hinton Crescent and Dale Lane.
2 in Stockton Heath – Brook Ave and Ackers Lane
2 in Lymm – Kings Mews and Elm Tree Rd.
