No new deaths as hospital inpatient numbers and COVID-19 infection rates continue to fall

NO new COVID-19 related deaths have been reported at Warrington Hospital for a sixth consecutive day, while hospital inpatient numbers and new infection rates are continuing to fall in the town.

The 7 (21) new cases in the latest daily update from Public Health England means the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is now 17,664 (17,657).
But Warrington’s infection rate remains higher than the national average.



Cases in Warrington for the last seven days, previous days/updates in brackets, are now 133 (145) – 63.3 (69) per 100,000 population, showing a decrease in infection rates for a second consecutive day.
This compares to the national rate of 55.4 (56.2) per 100,000.
