Two men arrested on suspicion of drug offences after bomb disposal team descend on Chapelford property

TWO men have been arrested at a suspected Chapelford cannabis farm after bomb disposals experts were called out following the discovery of a suspicious substance.

Numerous police vehicles and a bomb disposal team descended on the property at Savvanah Place, Chapelford, Great Sankey, yesterday afternoon.



A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At 12.45pm on 29 March officers from Warrington LPU carried out a drugs warrant at an address in Savannah Place, Warrington.
“A number of cannabis plants were seized along with a substance which was assessed by EOD and seized as part of the investigation by police.
“Two men from Liverpool aged 26 and 31 were arrested on suspicion of producing a controlled Class B Drug (cannabis).
“We want to reassure residents that at no point were residents or members of the public at risk.”
Both men have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
