Wheelie bins set on fire in woods

POLICE are urging residents to ensure their wheelie bins are secure and to check up on their children following arson incidents in Lingley Woods at Great Sankey last night.

Officers have been alerted that groups of youths are gathering in Lingley Woods and setting fires in the evening. They appear to be setting wheelie bins alight.



A police spokesperson said: “Please make sure your bins are secure. Parents – do you know where your teenagers are in the evening?”
Meanwhile last week Lots of youths were disturbed in the Great Sankey area, making off on seeing patrols, but leaving their alcohol behind!
