Police capture man on the run from Thorn Cross Prison

POLICE have arrested a man who was on the run from Thorn Cross Prison at Appleton Thorn, Warrington yesterday (Saturday) evening.

The 31-year-old man had last been seen at HMP Thorn Cross Prison on Arley Road, at 6pm yesterday evening.



It was believed the man could have been trying to make his way back to Humberside and trying to get a lift, or could have been still in the local area.
But less than two hours after issuing a public appeal during the early hours of this morning Police announced that the man had been arrested.
