Quality Counts award for Rosebank Naturegarten

LYMM-based Danish-inspired Rosebank Naturegarten has been awarded National Day Nurseries Association’s ‘Quality Counts’ award.

Quality Counts is a national quality scheme designed to help nurseries explore all aspects of its care and education to ensure that it is delivering the best possible service for young children.
Over the past couple of years Rosebank Naturegarten has been working towards the award, which acts as an indicator to parents of the high-quality care that is offered. Staff, children and parents will be celebrating their achievement as soon as possible once this can be done in a safe and fun manner. The final report included a summary of the key strengths of the setting.
“The nursery operates from a beautiful purpose-built wooden building inspired by the owner’s trip to Denmark to research Danish nursery provision… The nursery is an outdoor learning inspired setting, some of the children spend all morning and/or all afternoon sessions outdoors in the Forest School area with Forest School trained staff… There is a key person system in place, each key person knows their key children’s interests and updates their on-line learning journal with observations and assessments of learning… Overall, it was obvious how children’s needs and learning styles formed the base for the setting’s planning… Parents have access to Parent Zone where they can view their child’s observations and photos, they can add their own photos/observations, comments and ask questions… Children demonstrated resilience and an understanding of the rules and expectations… Children were praised by staff for their input and kind behaviour”.
Purnima Tanuka, Chief Executive of National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) added:“Achieving Quality Counts involves a great deal of hard work and development, and illustrates a nursery’s absolute commitment to children. The nursery should be very proud of this achievement as the Quality Counts scheme demonstrates that children are at the heart of what they do”.
Rebecca Roylance, Rosebank Naturegarten’s Nursery Manager said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded Quality Counts Awarded Level three. This is a special achievement and reaching this point is a culmination of much hard work from the nursery team. I would like to thank everyone who has supported us during our Quality Counts journey, and we are very much looking forward to celebrating our success in the near future”.
Bookings for the Summer and Autumn Term 2021 for Nursery and Before and Afterschool Care are now being taken. Please contact Rebecca on 01925 758959 to make an appointment or email her at [email protected]
