Firefighters rescue cat from roof at Appleton

A FIRE crew from Lymm was called out this morning to help rescue a cat stuck on a roof at Appleton.

Firefighters attended at a house on Waterbridge Court shortly after 9.30am following reports of a cat stuck on a roof.
Crews used a ladder to reach the cat and bring it to safety.



The cat, understood to be a six-month-old kitten stuck in facia boards, was then handed into the care of its owner.
Meanwhile, in another incident, one fire engine from Birchwood was called out to tackle a fire involving rubbish on McKee Avenue, Longford.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish rubbish which was well alight.
