WARRINGTON & Vale Royal College has been welcoming their staff and students back to campus, following the roll-out of a mass Covid-19 testing programme.

The testing programme has been meticulously planned over several weeks, with the installation of a dedicated test centre and college-wide staff training.
College staff have worn full Personal Protective Equipment whilst testing almost 3,000 students, each of whom have been given a designated time slot to come into college for their test.
The college students have been fully cooperative with the testing programme and many have commented on how well organised the test centre is.
Hairdressing student Holly-Ann Middleton said: “The testing process was clear and straightforward, and the staff were really helpful.”
Health & Social Care student Elena Rigby expressed her excitement about returning to college, saying: “I was excited to come back to college and learn more on my course. I really enjoy coming here every day.”
College Principal & Chief Executive Nichola Newton is pleased with the success of the testing, saying: “The mass testing has ran very smoothly and the testing staff have worked incredibly hard to ensure the safe return of our students. We are delighted to be welcoming the students back and resuming face-to-face teaching.”
