Road closed after power cable collapses

A ROAD was closed near Warrington early today after a power cable collapsed on to a property and was left overhanging the road.
A fire crew from Penketh was called to the incident on Sandiway Lane, Antrobus, at 7.20am.
Firefighters found the power cable had fallen onto a neary property and was also overhanging the road. They put a cordon in place as a precautionary measure and North West Power were called to the scene.
Police closed Sandiway Lane in both directions..
