Car fire believed to be arson

A car fire at Bewsey, Warrington during the early hours of this morning is believed to be arson.

At 4.45am firefighters from Warrington were called to reports of a fire off Lilfield Avenue in Bewsey.
On arrival, the crew found a car that was well alight.
One firefighter, wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and was detained at the scene for around 40 minutes.
The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate and anyone with any information is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 931355.

Meanwhile, yesterday (Thursday) at around 5.45pm firefighters used water to extinguish a small fire involving a quantity of rubbish in Victoria Park, Warrington.
The crew were detained at the scene for around 20 minutes
