Road closure for new pedestrian crossing

PART of Common Lane, Culcheth, will be closed for up to six weeks while construction works take place for a new pedestrian crossing.

The road will be closed from its junction with Wigshaw Lane to its junction with Lodge Drive for a period of up to six weeks.
Warrington Borough Council has made a Prohibition of driving Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The Order will be effective from 1st March 2021 for 6 weeks, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, when signed on site.
Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The alternative route will be via A574 Warrington Road, A580 East Lancs Road, Newton Road and Kenyon Lane.
The closure is required to allow for the construction of a Pedestrian Crossing.
