Lowest number of new COVID-19 cases since September 2 as downward trend returns

SEVENTEEN new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Warrington since yesterday, the lowest number since September 2.

The 17 (20) new cases in the latest daily update from Public Health England means the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is now 16,988 (16,971). It is the lowest number since 15 cases were reported on September 2nd.
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days, previous days/updates in brackets, are 262 (269) – 124.8 (128.1) per 100,000 population, showing a return to a downward trend over a seven-day period. This compares to the national rate of 105 (109.6) per 100,000.
