The 28 (24) new cases in the latest daily update from Public Health England means the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is now 16,951 (16,923).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days, previous days/updates in brackets, are 267 (270) – 127.1 (128.6) per 100,000 population, returning to a downward trend.
This compares to the national rate of 114 (115.3) per 100,000.
