ONE person suffered the effects of smoke and a number of pets were rescued from a smoke-filled property following a kitchen fire in Warrington earlier today.
Shortly before 3pm Three fire engines attended from Penketh, Warrington and Stockton Heath following reports of a fire at a house on Longshaw Street, Dallam.
The fire was located in the kitchen as four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to tackle the flames.
People inside the house had been accounted for. One person suffered smoke inhalation and was handed into the care of paramedics.
A large fan was used to disperse smoke and neighbouring properties were also checked to see if the fire had spread.
Crews then dampened down.
A number of pets were rescued from the house and have been taken to the vets.
