ANOTHER patient has sadly died at Warrington Hospital, while 24 new COVID-19 cases has seen a downward trend return in the town.
The 24 (40) new cases in the latest daily update from Public Health England means the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is now 16,923 (16,899).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days, previous days/updates in brackets, are 270 (287) – 128.6 (136.7) per 100,000 population, returning to a downward trend.
This compares to the national rate of 115.3 (116.4) per 100,000.
