ONE of the key admins of the Leave No One Behind in Lymm campaign, Anna Leaver, was recently awarded The High Sheriff of Cheshire’s award for ‘Community Service’,

Her nomination read: “When the COVID crisis started, a group of Lymm residents got together and set up the community response group ‘Leave No One Behind in Lymm’.
Although working full-time, Anna was a key member from day one, and helped with the coordination of the group.
“She is an ‘Area Champ’ looking after a group of our street champions, but where Anna was an exemplar was in her management of the meals campaign, where vulnerable people received a weekly meal and welfare visit, delivered by a team of volunteers Anna led. In addition she was a key coordinator of our food distribution scheme, collecting donated food from our local shops
and other suppliers, so they could be distributed to those in need.
“Over the months hundreds of food parcels and in excess of a thousand meals have been distributed to the community, supporting people and giving them huge reassurance at this difficult time. It is very much a team effort, but I hope you can recognise Anna in her key role.”
Anna’s award was sent by the High Sheriff of Cheshire Nick “Hoppy” Hopkinson.
