POLICE are attempting to identify the owner of a football following ongoing issues involving groups of youths breaching lockdown restrictions at Lymm.
Officers had to return to Lymm Rugby Club yesterday for the third time in less than a week due to a group of youths 10+ trespassing playing football on the Rugby field. The youngsters quickly dispersed but were cut off on the nearby Lymm Dam Heritage trail.
The youngsters quickly dispersed again, however one of the youths left a football which was quickly collected.
Anyone who recognises the ball is asked to contact Lymm Police via their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/LymmPol
Meanwhile another group of youths, at least eight, all on bikes strewn all over The Cross, quickly dispersed again when officers arrived in the village.
Officers have been dealing with numerous incident of anti-social behaviour involving youngsters breaching lockdown restrictions in the village.
Police say they will continue to patrol around Lymm and if groups are hanging around they will be dealt with.
