Bogus sales alert at Lymm

POLICE are warning members of the public at Lymm to be aware of bogus sales in the village by males selling items from the back of vans.

Yesterday, Thursday, Lymm Police received reports of males knocking on doors claiming to be selling furniture from a show home – ‘Furniture From You’ was on the side of the van.
Officers say it isn’t genuine and advise members of the public not to buy items from these males and report via 101 if you see any dealings.
They have also had similar reports of males in white vans selling cut prices TVs at Lymm services. When brought home they are not what they stated and in some cases have been broken.
Again police warn are warning not to buy items from the back of a van.
