Three more hospital deaths and 48 new COVID-19 cases as downward trend continues

THREE more patients have sadly died at Warrington Hospital since yesterday after testing positive for COVID-19 while a total of 48 new cases have been confirmed in the town, continuing a downward trend.

Meanwhile, hospital inpatient numbers are also starting to show a downward trend with 18 patients discharged since yesterday.
The 48 (75) new cases in the latest daily update from Public Health England means the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is now 16,293 (16,245).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days, previous days/updates in brackets, are 515 (579) – 245.2 (275.7) per 100,000 population, continuing a downward trend over a seven-day period.

*The highest number COVID-19 positive inpatients during the first wave was on 12th April with 124 patients of which 18 were in ICU.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 442 (441) 210.5 per 100,000 population.
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England is 480 (480).

Across the UK the daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths reported on Wednesday, February 10 was 1,001 (1,052), taking the total number of deaths to 114,851 (113,850).
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 13,013 (12,364), taking the total number to 3,985,161 (3,972,148).
