WHILE five more patients have sadly died at Warrington Hospital since Friday, a total of 35 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the town since yesterday, continuing a downward trend.
The 35 (77) new cases in the latest daily update from Public Health England means the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is now 16,170 (16,135). Apart from Christmas Day, it is the lowest figure of new cases since early December.
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days, previous days/updates in brackets, are 597 (628) – 284.3 (299) per 100,000 population, continuing a downward trend over a seven-day period.
