Warrington-based firm takes over rival

COMPLIANCE and facilities management provider phs Compliance, which has its headquarters in Warrington, has acquired OCS Compliance, part of the OCS UK Group.

OCS Compliance’s electrical and environmental compliance services, including portable appliance testing, fixed electrical testing and inspection, and thermal imaging and emergency lighting maintenance, will now be delivered by phs Compliance to several hundred customers across multiple sectors in the UK.
phs Compliance, which is part of the phs Group, is a market leader in electrical testing and remedial services. It has a 50-year history providing electrical testing and inspection, compliance and facilities management services, with over 400 engineers providing nationwide coverage.
OCS Compliance activities will be merged into phs Compliance and its employees will transfer into phs Compliance, joining its 500 strong team.
David Taylor-Smith, group CEO of phs, said: “We have a strong relationship with OCS Group as we acquired its horticultural activity two years ago and became its preferred supplier. Its compliance business is a natural fit with ours and this acquisition will allow us to further strengthen the relationship.”
