Schoolgirl writes to Boris Johnson asking for stricter lockdown restrictions to help stop people being ill and dying

PADGATE schoolgirl Lilly Redmond has written a letter to Prime Minister Boris Johnson asking him to make stricter lockdown rules to help stop people from being ill and dying from COVID-19.

Lilly aged nine, a pupil at St Oswald’s in Padgate, wrote the letter after hearing more than 100,000 people had died from the disease which made both her and her mum poorly last November.

Mum Kate, a key worker said: “She came home from school yesterday saying she wanted Boris to make the lockdown rules more strict so people would stop getting poorly and dying from covid and then last night I found the envelope on the landing waiting for me to post!
“We both had covid in November but luckily we got through it unscathed!
“Lilly was poorly for about 4 -5 days and I was poorly about 8 -9 days.”
Kate added: “Lilly was ok with Covid, had a high temperature for a few days and was a little bit lethargic but she did lots of schoolwork at home while she was off school. It didn’t affect her too much, she was still her bubbly self. I was asleep for most of the time we were isolating with being poorly myself. I had a temperature, cough and generally felt awful and started with feeling like I couldn’t breathe in.
“My husband who works away thankfully had to isolate with us also, so he took over all the homeschooling with both children while I tried to nurse myself back to normal. My husband and little boy luckily got away without getting infected.”
Now Lilly’s letter is winging it’s way to the Prime Minister.

  1. Lilly Rose being my Grand-daughter and as her.Family here in Ireland are Extremely Proud of her. Lilly is a Funny, Bubbly, Loving.and Caring little girl. And has a very good understanding of the Covid 19 Virus after having tested positive for the Virus and isolated for the time requested.
I as Lilly Roses Nannie am so impressed with Lilly for writing to Mr Johnson asking for Stricter Rules for the Country as the number of people who have passed away from the Virusis Heartbreaking.and from this one can get an idea of how Caring and Loving Lilly is.
It is my belief with Lilly who is one of the futhre generation of your Country,,,I think Britan will be in good Hands.
