Thelwall barn conversion scheme is withdrawn following objections

1

A PLAN to convert a barn into a residential property at Thelwall, Warrington, has been withdrawn following numerous objections submitted by nearby residents.

The barn is at the rear of White Gate Barn, in Weaste Lane – and it attracted a storm of protest from neighbours who claimed it was contrary to Green Belt policy, would overlook nearby properties and would have unsatisfactory access to Weaste Lane.
There were also concerns about increased traffic problems on Weaste Lane.
A smaller number of residents supported the scheme.
The applicant withdrew the proposal before it was considered by the borough council’s development management committee.
