New cases of COVID-19 continue downward trend for third consecutive day

NEW cases of COVID-19 have shown a downward trend for a third consecutive day in Warrington since the start of the latest lockdown.

A total of 137 (163) new COVID-19 cases were reported by Public Health England today, Saturday, taking the total reported in Warrington, since the start of the pandemic, to 13,793 (13,656).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days, previous days/updates in brackets, are 1,460 (1,495) – 695.2 (711.9) per 100,000 population – showing a downward trend for a third consecutive day and the fourth time since the start of lockdown.

Covid-19 positive inpatients 207 (198) of which 122 (122) are Warrington residents – of which 25 (26) are in ICU

Discharges of positive patients (excluding deaths) cumulative 1238 (1229)

*The highest number COVID-19 positive inpatients during the first wave was on 12th April with 124 patients of which 18 were in ICU.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 352 (348) 167.6 per 100,000 population.
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England is 383 (383).
