TRIBUTES have been made to former Lymm Tennis Club President, Chairman and Men’s captain John Eaton, who sadly died just before Christmas after a year-long battle with cancer.
The tennis club was an important part of John’s life and members of the committee have paid tribute to the huge contribution to the success of the club in his various roles over many years.
The family intend to host a memroial event at the club later in the year, when hopefully members can get together to share meories and celebrate John’s life.
His funeral took place at Altrincham Cermatorium last Thursday.
A long and full life, lived well by a great man John was a real character with a big heart who was the life and soul of any event he attended or so generously hosted.
He will be very sadly missed by his loving family and all who knew him.
A just giving page has been set up to raise funds for St Rocco’s Hospice for those who wish to help other families along the cancer journey in memory of John.
The Eaton family is very grateful for all the kind messages of love and support which have been received.
The whole St Rocco’s team cared for and supported John over many weeks with wonderful compassion and great professionalism.
