Teddies bring gift of love for patients in intensive care this Christmas

THREE local businesses have come together to support patients on Warrington hospital’s intensive care unit this Christmas.

In a seasonal gesture of goodwill from local businesses involved in the Warrington Business Network International; PME Electrical and Data Solutions, Centric Energy Solutions and Riqueza Group came together to purchase 30 of the special teddies which play a personalised message.
Family members of ICU patients were approached to record a Christmas message which will be played to all patients on the ward on Christmas Day, as visiting restrictions are in place due to COVID-19.
Helen Higginson, Head of Fundraising for Warrington and Halton Hospitals’ Charity said: “This is such a lovely and thoughtful gesture of seasonal goodwill from our local business at what will undoubtably be the most difficult of times for anyone with a loved one in hospital.
“Families have been delighted with this opportunity to allow patients to hear their voices even if they cannot be there to visit in person.”
Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals offers a patient Flo-gram service to allow relatives and friends of patients to send in messages to loved ones they cannot visit at this time.
