A NEW training centre is to open on Warrington’s booming Birchwood Park business complex.

British Engineering Services (BES) who have been based in the North West for more than 160 years, are to move into premises tailored to their requirements in Eddington Way
BES specialises in testing, inspection and certification for companies across the UK and Ireland and the new facility will become their training centre for employees from all around the country who will travel to the area for introductory and upskilling training courses, boosting footfall in the Birchwood area.
Hazel Doherty, head of training at BES said: “When it came to choosing the home of our new training centre, Birchwood Park was an obvious choice for us. With our trainees coming from all over the UK and Ireland, we wanted somewhere close to the motorway network that wasn’t too far from our Manchester roots and Birchwood Park ticked those boxes.
“We’re delighted with our choice and know the all of the local amenities available on the Birchwood Park estate will be more and more useful for us and we continue to welcome our people to our industry-leading facility.”
In 2018, Birchwood Park celebrated its 20th birthday. Since 1998, the park has almost tripled in size, providing 1.1million square feet of office and warehouse space and accommodating more than 165 businesses in a variety of sectors.
