FOUR men appeared in court today charged with offences in connection with a shooting at Orford when a 55-year-old man received life-changing injuries to his leg.
Lewis Fitzpatrick, of Eldersfield Road in Liverpool, has been charged with conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Alan Tobin, aged 51, of Regency Park in Widnes, has been charged with conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
John Tobin, aged 40, of Hornby Road in Liverpool, has been charged with participating in the criminal activities of an organised crime group.
Aaron Bretherton, of Netherfield Road South in Liverpool, has been charged with conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life.
All four men appeared at Crewe Magistrates Court on Wednesday 23 December and have been remanded in custody. They are next due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on 20 January 2021.
The charges relate to an incident at 8.50pm on Friday 24 April when a number of shots were fired outside an address on Poplars Avenue in Orford.
A 55-year-old man sustained life changing injuries to his leg.
