Three more COVID-19 deaths and 75 new cases as upward trend continues

THREE more COVID-19 related deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital since yesterday, while 75 new cases have been confirmed in the town in the latest daily update by Public Health England.

The 75 (91) new cases in Warrington in the latest figures from Public Health England takes the total since the start of the pandemic to 9,369 (9,294).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days, previous days/updates in brackets, are 494 (431) – 235.2 (205.2) per 100,000 population – showing a continuing upward trend in infection rates over a seven day period for eleven consecutive days.

*The highest number COVID-19 positive inpatients during the first wave was on 12th April with 124 patients of which 18 were in ICU.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is 292 (291) 139 per 100,000 population.
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England is 350 (341).
