LUMB Brook Bridge at Appleton has been re-opened following emergency repairs for a gas leak in the carriageway.

The closure resulted in extra traffic congestion at the well know bottleneck since the closure last Friday.
Contractors from Cadent completed the repairs on Tuesday afternoon.
A five-day emergency road closure had been put in place from Friday 11th December 2020, for a period not exceeding 5 days, on Lumb Brook Road, from its junction with Grappenhall Road to its junction with Bridge Lane.
