Male Voice Choir ‘virtually’ ready for major fundraising concert

EVERYTHING is now in place for Warrington Male Voice Choir’s virtual Christmas Voices Christmas Brassed-Off concert, which will go live on the choir’s YouTube channel from 7.30pm on Saturday 19 December 2020.

The concert will also be able to be found and enjoyed via the link – https://youtu.be/vMhoYrjFIAo
As well as viewers enjoying a great concert, the choir’s hope is that regular choir followers may well donate the price that they would have paid for a ticket for the live concert to the choir’s JustGiving page, using the following link: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/warringtonmalevoicechoirvirtualconcert
It goes without saying that the choir also hopes that viewers new to the choir will have enjoyed it so much they too will make a donation.
Thanks to the effects of the pandemic – the choir, like many others in the world of live entertainment – hasn’t done any live venue performances in 2020. So, the fundraising focus is on raising much-needed funds for the choir itself.
Commenting, Choir Treasurer Geoff Hopper said “Not staging this concert live will see the choir having a net loss ‘on the night’ of around £3,000; money we depend on to cover our running costs – rehearsals, musical staff, music purchases and admin costs – for the season spent preparing for Christmas”.
As well as an enjoyable festive programme of music from the choir and hopefully boosting choir funds, Christmas Voices Christmas Brassed Off will also offer the chance for the audience to join in and sing along to one of the most popular Christmas carols. It’s all promising to be a great evening.
