Woolston sparkles with Christmas lights cheer

THE residents of Hill Top Road in Woolston have excelled yet again this year with an ever-expanding display of Christmas lights to raise the spirits and bring some Yuletide cheer.

The resident who created the light show, which has evolved over recent years into an impressive display, has made it clear that he does it for no other reason than for the pleasure it gives him and to give everyone something to smile about. He has requested to remain anonymous as it’s a community display.
Spurred on by the display, residents in other parts of Woolston are upping their game much to the delight of children and adults in the community and beyond.
Local resident Jim Hunter said: “As I drove past this evening there were several families walking down the street admiring the spectacle and families are visiting from all over Warrington and further afield as word of the display spreads.
“Just one more example of the amazing community spirit that exists throughout Woolston.”
