Man charged with eight burglaries involving property worth £30,000 from new build sites

POLICE have arrested and charged a man accused of eight burglaries on new build sites – including three at Great Sankey, Warrington.

Wayne Atack, of Milner Street, Swindon, Greater Manchester, was arrested on Monday 30 November by Detectives from Northwich CID.

The 37-year-old has since been charged with eight counts of burglary and theft.
The charges relate to burglaries involving the theft of boilers and appliances at seven building sites in Northwich, Warrington and Sandbach.
The total value of the thefts is believed to be in excess of £30,000.

Atack has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 1 December.
The incidents are –
Between 10/11/2020 – 13/11/2020 at Northwich in the County of Cheshire having entered as a trespasser a dwelling, namely New Build Plots 281, 284 and 285 within one apartment on Butterworth Road, stole therein boilers of a value unknown
Between11/10/2020 – 14/10/2020 at Warrington in the County of Cheshire having entered as a trespasser a dwelling, namely New build plots 164, 165 and 168 on Lingley Green Avenue, Great Sankey, stole therein boilers to the value of approximately £3000
Between 15/07/2020 – 18/07/2020 at Northwich in the County of Cheshire having entered as a trespasser a dwelling, namely Plot 16, 17 and 74 Rosemary Drive, stole therein boilers and white goods to the value of £5000
Between24/08/2020 – 27/08/2020 at Warrington in the County of Cheshire having entered as a trespasser a dwelling, namely Plots 134, 135, 136, 137, 138, 139 and 140 Watergrove Crescent, Great Sankey, stole therein six boilers and an oven to the value of between £5000 – £10000
Between24/11/2020 – 27/11/2020 at Sandbach in the County of Cheshire having entered as a trespasser a dwelling, namely new Build Plots 93, 112, 130 and 131 on Comfrey Avenue, stole therein boilers, oven and hob to the value of £6420.
Between 25/02/2020 – 28/02/2020 at Northwich in the County of Cheshire having entered as a trespasser a dwelling, namely New Build Plots 70, 71, 72 and 78 on Rosemary Drive and stole therein boilers and thermostats to the value of £5000.
Between 28/02/2020 – 03/03/2020 at Northwich in the County of Cheshire having entered as a trespasser a dwelling, namely New Build Plots 296 and 297 on Walker Road, Northwich, stole therein two boilers and white goods to the value of £2000.
Between 31/08/2020 – 03/09/2020 at Warrington in the County of Cheshire having entered as a trespasser a dwelling, namely four new build plots on Lingley Green Avenue, Great Sankey, stole therein three boilers and toilet cisterns to the value of £7700.
