THE occupants of this vehicle had a miraculous escape and were able to get out unaided following a three-vehicle collision on the M6 Thelwall Viaduct at Warrington earlier today.
The collision resulted in the northbound carriageway being closed between junction 20 at Lymm and junction 21 at Woolston, which resulted in lengthy delays and a seven-mile tailback at one stage.
Emergency services attended at the scene, but it is believed nobody was seriously injured as the occupants of all vehicles escaped unaided.
One lane was reopened at around 4.15pm and the motorway fully reopened at around 6.15pm.
Queues of around seven miles stretched back to junction 19 at Knutsford.
This is the scene on the M6 northbound. Traffic coping well with the lane closures.
All occupants from vehicles were able to get out unaided & are talking with officers & @NWAmbulance staff. @HighwaysNWEST arranging recovery and lanes 2/3/4 will remain closed until completed. pic.twitter.com/vGJYhNs9h4— North West Motorway Police (@NWmwaypolice) November 25, 2020
