Two more COVID-19 deaths and 96 new cases – although overall figures continue downward trend

WHILE another two COVID-19 related patients have sadly died at Warrington Hospital and another 96 new cases have been reported in the latest figures from Public Health England, overall figures continue a downward trend.

The 96 new cases in Warrington in the latest daily update from Public Health England takes the total since the start of the pandemic to 7,780 (7,684).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days are 557 (600) – 265.2 (285.7) per 100,000 population, which continues the downward trend.
Meanwhile inpatient numbers at Warrington & Halton Hospitals Trust are starting to show a downward trend, although still exceed numbers during the first wave.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is 248 (243) 118.1 per 100,000 population.
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England is now 286 (286).
