THREE people were taken to hospital after a two-car crash at Warrington this afternoon.
The collision which took place shortly after 1pm was in Common Road, Winwick and police, fire and ambulance crews went to the scene.
The driver and passenger from one vehicle were assessed by paramedics while firefighters released the driver of the other vehicle, before handing him over to the ambulance crew.
All three casualties were taken to Whiston Hospital.
Emergency services were at the scene for about 20 minutes.
