Firefighters help rescue person trapped in Orford house fire

FIREFIGHTERS wearing breathing apparatus rescued a person trapped on the first floor of a terraced property during a house fire at Orford, Warrington, earlier today.

Three fire engines attended from Warrington, Birchwood and Stockton Heath shortly before 8am after firefighters were called to reports of people trapped following a house fire on Howson Road, Warrington.
Three Crews from Warrington, Birchwood and Stockton Heath were dispatched to the scene and on arrival they found a fire in the ground floor of a terraced property.
Two firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, entered the building and rescued one casualty from the first floor of the building. The casualty was then passed to the care of paramedics.
The crews then used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire before using a large fan to clear the smoke from the address.
