WARRINGTON Rylands 1906’s North West Counties League Premier Division game at Longridge Town scheduled for Saturday 24th October has been postponed, due to Covid 19 restrictions imposed in the Preston area which have seen Longridge’s three previous scheduled home league games also postponed.

Rylands maintained their unbeaten start to the league season on Wednesday coming from a goal behind to claim a point from their game against Winsford United who on Saturday had hit ten past Barnoldswick Town.
Rob Hopley put the hosts ahead in the 36th minute before Sam Sheen equalised in the 63rd minute after a goalmouth scramble. Rylands almost snatched all three points when veteran striker Stuart Wellstead, making his first appearance of the season hit the post for the visitors.
Warrington Rylands have two home games scheduled for Gorsey Lane next week. Tuesday sees the Blues host Whitchurch Alport in a Premier Division fixture, kick off 7.45pm while Padiham are the visitors on Saturday in the first round of the FA Vase, kick off 3pm.
