One more patient dies at Warrington Hospital, COVID-19 inpatient numbers climb to 109 and 133 new cases reported

ONE more patient has sadly died at Warrington Hospital, with inpatient numbers now up to 109, while 133 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in the town according to the latest data from Public Health England.

The latest figures have seen COVoD-19 inpatient numbers at Warrington hospital jump by 20 over the weekend, with 14 now in intensive care, compared to 11 on Friday.
The Trust only treat Covid positive patients at Warrington Hospital – Halton is for elective patients only.
ICU and in-hospital deaths and inpatients all relate to numbers of patients – they could be from Halton, Warrington or further afield.

Meanwhile, the 133 (90) new cases means the total of confirmed cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is now 4,333 – 2,063.2 per 100,000 population.
The seven day average as of October 12 was 102.3 (100.3). There has now been a seven day average of over 100 since October 5.
According to the latest data from Public Health England there have been 175 (173) deaths in Warrington, 83.3 per 100,000 population.

Covid-19 positive inpatients 109 (89) – Of which 14 (11) are in ICU
Total number of tests (inpatients/community) cumulative – 28,393 (27,837)
Total tests with a positive result (inpatients/community/died/discharged) cumulative 1,747 (1,690)
Discharges of positive patients (excluding deaths) cumulative 523 (505)
Deaths of Covid-19 positive inpatients cumulative 159 (158)

Across the UK the daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths was 80 (67), taking the total number of deaths to 43,726 (43,646).
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 18,804 (16,982), taking the total number to 741,212 (722,409).
Across the country, there are 5,608 (5,608) patients currently in hospital and 592 (592) patients in ventilator beds.
