Scouts brighten up park – and say thank you to Covid-19 heroes

SCOUTS at Culcheth have been brightening up Culcheth Linear Park – and saying thank you to Covid-19 heroes at the same time.

Members of the 19th Warrington (Culcheth) Scouts, based at the Methodist Church on Ellesmere Road, have been busy on the former railway line placing colourful “thank you doors” on trees.
The scouts have designed the doors themselves and have produced a variety for everyoneto enjoy.
They thank a variety of occupations for their continued hard work and support during the Covid crisis.
There are currently 14 doors to be found along the old railway line past the second metal gate from the Ranger cabin. By placing the doors in the park the Scouts hope they will brighten up the autumn days and also encourage others to add to the displays with their own contributions.
Scout leader Dave Sanderson said: “We would like to see more doors in the park so please feel free to add to the doors on show – the more the merrier!”
