Contactless ordering launched at Warrington Market’s Cookhouse

A NEW contactless ordering service will help Warrington Market customers stay safe while enjoying its independent eateries.

The service has been set-up to provide a new way to enjoy the tastes the Cookhouse has to offer, as well as to help reduce the need for customers to move around the building, ensuring a safer experience for all.
Customers can now order and pay for their food and drink from the comfort and safety of their table. They can browse menus, select items and pay, with everything being delivered direct to the table – all with zero contact and no app download required.
To take advantage of the service, all customers need to do is use their phone or other smart device – simply scan the QR code on your table, or visit pay.yoello.com/g/warrington – then select your vendor, and your food and drink options and submit your order.
Council leader, Cllr Russ Bowden said: “We’re excited to introduce this new table ordering service to the Cookhouse at Warrington Market – not only does it make it safer for customers and staff at the market, but it means people can relax and avoid standing in a queue while waiting for their food to be prepared.
“We encourage all visitors to the market to ensure you keep yourself and others as safe as possible while inside the building. We’ve been working closely with traders to put appropriate safety measures in place, including clear signage, hand sanitiser stations, protective screens, and reduced seating capacity for dining in the Cookhouse.
“If you’re visiting the market, please ensure you follow the government guidance – keep your distance from others and wear a face covering unless you’re sitting at a table to eat or drink. Please also remember that Warrington is subject to additional local restrictions, so you must only visit the market with people from your own household or support bubble.”
The Cookhouse has a variety of culinary treats on offer – from Eastern delights such as Thai and Chinese, to the freshest Italian pizza, Indian street food and Mexican favourites – there is something for everyone to enjoy! There are also two fully stocked bars, serving a range of cask ales, local brews, wines, spirits and cocktails.
Cllr Bowden added: “Keep yourself and others safe by using the table ordering service. If you haven’t got time to spare – food is also available to take away!”
