Forty new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Warrington as new walk-in testing facility set to open

A total of 40 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Warrington in the latest daily figures from Public Health England, with a new walk-in testing facility set to open in the town.

The latest figures, which are considerably lower than the 73 reported on Saturday, come as new coronavirus cases recorded in the UK have fallen for the second day in a row.
There have been no new confirmed deaths in Warrington. The total number of COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington since March is now 2,301 (2,261) 1,095.6 (1,076.6) per 100,000 population.
The seven day average as of Sept 20 was 50.6 (47).

There have been 158 COVID-related deaths reported in Warrington.

Across the UK the daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths was 17 (34), taking the total number of deaths to 41,988 (41,971) –
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 5,693 (6,042), taking the total number to 434,969 (429,277).
Across the country, there are 1,727 (1,727) patients currently in hospital and 262 (262) patients in ventilator beds.
